Welcome to Bentonville's online Special Event Permit Application System. This system allows event organizers to submit and update information, track application status, communicate with city staff, print permits, and pay invoices. The online application has been designed to streamline the event permitting process to ensure special events comply with local, state and federal codes, policies and regulations.

*Please note that applications MUST be submitted at least 30 days in advance of your event date to be considered for approval.

Special Event Permit Application - Pre- Application

This application is Step 1: Pre-Application of a two-step application process to receive a permit to host a Special Event in Bentonville. If the event meets one or more of the criteria below, this is the application to use.  Once you've submitted and received preliminary approval, you will be notified to proceed to Step 2: Special Event Permit Application (if required for your event.)

Events that include one or more of the following require a Special Event Permit:

• Outdoor events located on public property, including sidewalks, streets, and parks, including the Bentonville Square.   
• Events that require a street closure, such as a race, bike ride, or parade.
• Events that will last three or more days.
• Event will request support from public safety or other city departments.
• Events that Include special amenities or entertainment such as (inflatables, dunk tank, live band, pony rides, marathons, fundraisers, etc.)

Tournament Application 

This application is to apply for a permit to host a tournament on city athletic fields or facility.
