City of Bentonville

Welcome to Bentonville's online Event and Filming Permit Application System. This system allows event organizers to submit and update information, track application status, communicate with city staff, print permits, and pay invoices. The online application has been designed to streamline the event permitting process to ensure special events and filming comply with local, state and federal codes, policies and regulations.

Pavilion Reservation Application 

This application is to reserve a pavilion or space in a city park or facility for small gatherings (under 200 participants), such as birthday parties or family events. Use this application if you need to reserve park space and the event does not not meet any of the criteria in the Special Event Permit Application list below and is not a tournament.

Special Event Permit Application - Pre-application

This application is Step 1: Pre-application of a two-step application process to receive a permit to host a Special Event in Bentonville. If the event meets one or more of the criteria below, this is the application to use.  Once you've submitted and received preliminary approval, you will be notified to proceed to Step 2: Special Event Permit Application.

Events that include one or more of the following require a Special Event Permit:

  • Outdoor events located on public property, including sidewalks, streets, and parks, including the Bentonville Square.   
  • Events that require a street closure, such as a race, bike ride, or parade.
  • Events that will last three or more days.
  • Event will request support from public safety or other city departments.

Tournament Application 

This application is to apply for a permit to host a tournament on city athletic fields or facility.  

Filming Application

This application form is to apply for a permit to film in the Bentonville city limits, such as for movies, tv shows and commercials.
